Tamilnadu Muslims in Medical Field

Muslim Murasu, March 2011

Health care is one of the fundamental necessities of life. Chemical fertilizers rich in toxic content have crippled even sound healthy bodies. Organic manures and organic farming are now garnering attention.
3.5 percent reservation has yielded new medical graduates to Muslims in Tamilnadu. Doctors fare as staunch enemies for service mentality. Hindu and Christian spiritual leaders efficiently operate hospitals and medical colleges that benefit everyone. Tamilnadu Muslims who exhibit severe, extreme attitudes in religiosity have suffered major setback in medical field. Bringing the English doctors who enjoy luxurious life to public service is a serious challenge. Society is facing mammoth chronic failure. Funds to the tune of crores of rupees are being spent to individually run movements and organizations and preach. But there is no concerted medical help in Tamilnadu. Writers, speakers, intellectuals and educationists who have spent half a century time in serving Muslims are seeking Brahmin and Christian hospitals when their family members are diseased. One cannot remember even one doctor’s name or hospital that is well familiar. Operation cost of two lakh rupees makes it all the more painful for an average person. Muslim medical college in Tamilnadu is a long time dream. Four colleges are needed for forty lakh Muslims. As a first step, service groups should be identified. Society should be brought on board. List of people who offer medical help should be widely introduced through Islamic magazines and television. In today’s situation, to make do with the doctors who are madly after money is a futile job. There is no guarantee that the new free-of-cost hospitals and colleges that are established with investment of crores of rupees will show interest in service. Offsprings of Muslim VIPs garner MD and MS degrees in medicine and earn money. These people can be used for a day in a week for free medical counseling. Ground reality is that advices are only for others. Muslim philanthropists and social vanguards with government and political contact have made their family members degree holders in medicine. A white paper should be published in this regard. Community harvest has pleasantly yielded personal gains. But medical service has not happened. Doctors living luxurious life with extravagant marriage, palace house, costly car, come by as enemies to the society. Already a wealth of thirty thousand crore rupees is idling in minority educational institutions. Poor and middle class have not entered. The competence and qualification of life time member, working committee member and public committee members are guarded and kept as a secret. Only two factors are needed to offer medical help to the needy; doctors with service attitude and philanthropists with kind heart. There is severe scarcity for both. New lands, buildings and instruments are not going to help. One need not indulge in dreams.

Black Money For All

Muslim Murasu, March 2011

Lal Krishna Advani raised the issue of 70 lakh crore rupees of black money during last election. But people turned deaf ears to it. Do not preach what you don’t practice is warning from the sacred text. God loathes him who does not practice but preach. Advani could have released a list of black money sharks in his party. One need not go anywhere to find the list of those who have looted staggering money in short period. It will suffice to ask a vendor who has shop on wayside pavement. One will get to know the list of new wealthy people and their bank balance.
From the days of independence, see the names of officers in banks, income tax department, customs, embassy and auditors. A good number belongs to a certain caste. Without their knowledge even a single rupee won’t go abroad or stashed.
There is no respect in India for those who pay tax sincerely. They don’t get any discount. They cannot construct three-storeyed or five-storeyed buildings or have lavish car or have a paramour in each district. Black money holders are known to everyone. They are flash rich people, patrons of extravagance, and are available in all parties. Each small village hosts black money. In the middle of average built nondescript houses, a veneer high-rise bungalow rises. This is black money.
Income tax limits and deductions are demonically implemented. Warm invitations are given to officials to peacefully and pleasantly manage income tax. Enormous entries and loopholes to escape. He who does not pay tax is wise. Demonic tax regime. No citizen, patriot, will willingly pay tax. Even when doing business honestly, one has to bribe and loose money to bank and tax officials.
Government, ruling party, protects black money. 10000 crore rupees has to be spent in election. Only black money will help.
Black money, white money terminology is wrong. New skyscrapers, new cars, luxury materials, jewel asset, extravagant marriage, foreign tour, cut-out bear witness to black money. Every Indian and Tamilian has black money. Let the auditors, bank officers, income tax officers love humble life. Black money will automatically perish.

Permanent Need For Intellectual Group

Muslim Murasu, March 2011

Manure, fence, both are needed for lush growth of a plant. Intellectual community is needed to develop society by constantly stressing on goodness and protect it by eliminating evils.
Commercial firms operating with crores of rupees of revenue constitute special group for research and future promises. Experts are there to continually monitor changing situations and impart guidance. Their job is not readily visible. But they stand as vanguard for the company.
Planning Commission is taking interest in national development. Intellectuals who have not earned enough influence or popularity with the people do threadbare analysis on needs in education, road, healthcare, drinking water and electricity. Crores of rupees are allotted on the basis of the commission report.
Movement of politicians and bureaucrats are visible to common eyes. But experts are not known to plebeians, and it is not needed either.
The responsibility of intellectuals is to refine the educational institutions, funding organizations and socio-cultural and political groups that operate the society. A firm wont be successful without the adviser. It will run into accident, will fall upside down, encounter loss, face disappointment and disgrace and lose peace. Economic clout, henchmen strength, regional casteist hereditary ego, these alone won’t protect members of the society. Intellectual guidance, advice, support are indispensable, urgent needs. This will give eternal support. Qualities of leadership are listed as to get the name often embellished in block letters in posters, to sit in the center chair on the dais, give lengthy valedictory speech, etch one’s name in laying stones, photograph, and often appearing on TV. Popularity should be achieved through some means. That is the most important thing. Popularity and self-pampering is supported by photographs taken alongside different VIPs from the day one was born in this earth to this day. Serving people, intellectuals wont get attached to such repulsive activities. Their forte is to accumulate knowledge and experience and to serve people. Approvals, appreciations and drumming-up are not going to help much. Narcissistic attitude will lead one to hell. Common people and managing people should urgently identify intellectuals. Intellectual’s quality is to give balanced unbiased approach to an issue. They will continue the mantle without any fanfare. My job is keep serving. This is life. Money, jewels, authority, buildings and transport facilities alone will not develop the society. Intellectual guidance yields tremendous returns with less expenditure. There is no Dheen without Mashoora. There is a prerequisite to select an adviser. Consistent growth and loss-avoidance are basic principles. It is easy to identify intellectual. A brief conversation will suffice. New dimension, fresh thought and critical ideas will emerge. Banal techniques won’t help.
Tamilnadu generally has a dearth of intellectuals. Muslim society is not an exception.

Is NGO Registration Needed

Muslim Murasu, March 2011

Government cannot implement all welfare schemes in a democratic country all by itself. Service organizations provide support. On account of service rendered by N.G.Os during Tsunami crisis, 5000 crore rupees relief fund was collected. Though many organizations operate with a mind for service, some futile letter-pad organizations are operating only for collection of funds. A learned person can generously teach another student. Government showers hefty salaries for teachers. Teachers who rush to house at 4’o clock in the evening form a large number. Though many schools and colleges are sprouting, some good hearts are needed to willfully impart education. People in the Muhalla will show special respect. Registration office, bank account, management committee, foreign exchanges are not needed. N.G.O service has not evolved into a people’s movement in Tamilnadu. Organiser magazine informs that India received donation of 10,000 crore rupees last year. Delhi based organizations are garnering huge donations. Christians are the forerunners in giving and receiving donations.
America, England and Germany top the list of donators. Home Ministry statistics quote 34,803 registered organizations. 18,796 organizations operate depending on foreign funds. Tamilnadu and Andhra follow next after Delhi circle. N.G.Os based in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai are kings in collections. Christianity oriented organizations receive huge amounts of funds. America has donated 2928 crore rupees, England 1269 crore, Germany 971 crore, Italy 515 crore, and Netherland 414 crore rupees. Developed countries should donate even many times more for poor and middle-income group countries. Muslim organizations should try to get more foreign funds for missionary works, constructing houses, education, drinking water and medical and science development. Good works can continue on the basis of Foreign Exchange Management Act and with the approval of Home Ministry. To help and uplift poor Muslims in Tamilnadu is part of patriotism. World has today shrunk into a village. Muslim service organizations in Tamilnadu should gear up and harness more money from developed countries, oil rich countries and Arab countries. But because of lack of transparency and candor in selection process for management board, asset value and foreign visits, and lack of public contact, doubts arise over the N.G.O service.

Let Us Develop Language Skills

Muslim Murasu, March 2011

Muslims living in Tamilnadu should try and speak pure Tamil in conversations. Mixing of words from other languages should be avoided. When an opportunity is given to go on dais, one should speak chaste Tamil. Thirukkural and Tamil poems from ancient literature should be byhearted.
Now many are claiming ownership over Tamil. Sons of the land, ancient Tamils, aboriginals, age-old community, these terminologies and pledges are shouted aloud and attempts are afoot to divide and rule.
Each one from Muslim community willing to live in Tamilnadu should practice writing in Tamil. To release a statement, draft a plea, a decision, is a priceless art. It requires stupendous skill and nuanced technique. When all of a sudden a need arises and one is presented with paper and pen, it will not be possible to write down the thoughts in mind and happenings. It needs prior training. Grammatical correctness, coherence, cogent arguments should be glaring on the paper. Readers and audience in front should be able to fully grasp the content, and in addition, the words should be etched in their hearts and evoke reactions. Strong hold, layout, clarity and sharpness should be popping out in the writings. Legal standpoint, loopholes and framework should be inherent. No one will accept silly statements.
IT professionals working in Hyderabad will do well to gain expertise in Telugu and Urdu. Those who have got to stay in Bangalore can learn Kannada and Urdu. If one gains proximity to Malayalis or people speaking other languages, he should learn that language by all means. Language will certainly help. Language skill is akin to earning wealth.
Arabic is the Vedic language for Muslims. God’s word Quran descended in Arabic. But many Muslims are struggling to pronounce the revealed words. Arabic texts should be memorized. Hundreds of Ayaths and small Surahs should fill the heart. Heart uninhabited by Quran is precarious. Shaitan will misguide. Qiraath recitations can be practiced in the mornings and evenings. One can relish the experience by hearing to someone else reciting. Imaan will surge. All 40 lakh Muslims should recite Quran in Arabic language.
‘Most Merciful’ story is not needed. One can say ‘Bismillah’ without feeling shy. It will bring Barakkath. Over the past 40 years Islam has been translated in Tamil and has ended in abject failure. Scores of Islamic Kafirs have sprung up. They are freely moving and feigning. God’s house is not needed. What is needed is Masjid. Believer is not needed. Moomin is needed. God is not needed. Let us call Allah. Enough of mercy; let us ask for Rahmath. What is the need for prophet? Rasoolullah is better. There is staggering difference between holy pilgrimage and Haj. Let us clearly understand and accept religious language.

Government Employment – Stupendous Skill

Muslim Murasu, February 2011

People having faith in the government and submitting pleas to it indicates of their plebeian attitude and ignorance. Ruling class secures its vote banks by throwing away small funds and materials in the name of freebies. People do not respect ministers. Gathering to distribute freebies, support myth, becomes farcical scene.
Many government employees submit pleas to the government for their demands. They form unions and organize fast, processions, strike, and accusatory meetings. They can be spotted griping on television. They go to courts. In such a situation, schemes for public are not going to be meaningful.
Every human being under the sky is liberal. But for Conduct certificate one has to go to an officer. But the same officer will have to get another one for vouching to get loan from bank. Modern servility introduced by British is splitting apart the people. One has to give certificate for another. This is the way government operates. An officer just for questioning. ‘Auditor’ atrocity is continuing without anyone to question. Accumulation of 70 lakh crore rupees of black money is pointing towards the weakness of the state machinery. Government works akin to the mythical deer. Who operates the government is an unsolved puzzle. Minister, bureaucrat, and employee, three groups are torturing and tormenting people.
Pleas should be fed into the computer. Date on which a plea was received, the name of the officer who has to sign, his monthly salary, house address, mobile number, caste, pending cases in his desk and department, files, should be displayed on the monitor. Data should be given to citizens at the street side browsing centers. This will make clear the volume of bribe and corruption.
Three lakh, thirty lakh applications easily pour in for a government post vacancy. The genuine reasons are easy salary, authority, and bribe for signature. M.A graduate is applying for the last rung position. Peon’s son, Chief Engineer’s son, Managing Director’s son, everyone become engineers in no time. Economic disparity gets defeated because of the free movement of bribe. Each one sitting in a government office tastes good income. But the authority to sign is reserved only for a few. Corruption will come down if this authority is spread across. Web cameras can be used to bring the office tasks, challenges, ugliness and beauty to the outer world. Voters will get to understand the unqualified, incompetent management and problems. The respect of the government will rise or fall.

Farmer Despising Village

Muslim Murasu, February 2011

Expansion in television is bringing urban mentality in villages. Everyone wants to be educated, earn well and buy car and bungalow in city. But the control and management in village should also stay. Farmer families in villages that show interest in education do not leave villages. They do not forsake the house, land patta registration, freebies and subsidies for farming, waiving of loans and other doles to villages.
Annual revenue from livestock in Tamilnadu is 14500 crore rupees. This is veritable truth from Prabakaran, VC of Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. But farmer considers rearing cows as disgraceful. There is no interest in production; cinema songs, dance, drama are continually relished round the clock in the middle of the house. Through the villages, each Panchayat bus is going jam-packed. Processions to District Collector office with demands for new bus stand, new cement road, has become common news. Urban facilities are desired in villages. Engineers, doctors, degree holders despise agriculture. Farmers who have made their way into electricity board, water distribution, education sector, regional development office are hesitant to work. They don’t do any work without getting bribe. They torment village farmers. If 40000 crore is spent for development and expansion works in villages, 20000 crore rupees find safe shelter in the hands of the farmer, village middlemen. Stealing electricity has become common. One farmer plunders another farmer liberally in the market.
Milk production in India is 10 million tonne; six million tonne of this comes from Tamilnadu. 800 crore egg production. 350 million tonne of meat from poultry; two million from other meat. Inland fishing in village has registered 70 percent growth. Farmer enjoys the harvest without paying a penny in tax. No one can take even a handful of sand from riverbed without the knowledge of the farmer. Everyone gets their share. It is liquor for some, car, bungalow for some, and quality education for some. Village is relishing and guzzling government funds.
All the contractors appointed by government are farmers and offspring of farmers. A certain percentage, share in every government scheme goes to the villager. Broker, politician, managing officer, engineer, government employee, all these are farmers and their offsprings, albeit in different names. Villagers are not innocents, they are not honest people, and they are not hard workers. Cinema circle with a turnover of lakhs of crores of rupees is for village farming families. Multi millionaire families in Kodambakkam have got agriculture shade to them. Pledge for villages, urban facilities, this two have to be differentiated. Outer world is not aware of the loot mentality and oppressive strength of the village, farmer families.

Muslim Magazine Limits

Monthly magazines bring huge change in Tamilnadu. Magazines deserve merit for rejuvenating the stagnant literary world. Advertisements can be restricted not to exceed 20 percent. Sponsors should realize that the magazines come with high ideals, seeking God’s mercy and according highest priority to the interest of people. Readers of magazines are not rampant consumerists. Sponsors should help in not wasting magazine pages and spreading of ideas of magazines by shrinking the lines in advertisements. Many readers maintain collection of magazines by having hardcover bindings for them. This becomes literature, history and records for the future. Sponsors should understand the high objectives and donate development fund; lust to see owner’s name in block letters should be overcome.
Magazine should exhibit as much importance in bettering international contacts as is given to growth and development of Mohalla. Readers should be informed of the scrutiny on the visits of foreign delegates to Delhi in recent days and months, the discussions held, agreements and their terms. Magazine should peek into and intrude in foreign visits by Indian VIPs and the agreements that have been finalized by the government. Well being of the citizens, development of Mohalla, future of Jamaath, gains and losses, everything is now globalized. Magazine should be able to guide foreign ambassadors, ministers and secretaries. Opinion of the people can be responsibly oriented towards this end.
In particular, Muslim leaders, movements and functionaries, VIPs, their foreign visits, objectives, people they met, commercial and social trusts and organizations that they helped should be informed to readers. This is the only way to end confusion in Mohalla.
Money is being lavishly spent on religious preachings. But financial structure for social, medical, educational needs have not seen the light of the day. Black money is gradually making its way into arts, culture, literature and religious preachings also, thanks to the power wielded by global firms. Magazine is duty bound to be sufficiently warning. Religious pages should not contract. Jumaa speeches of famous mosques, event details should find its place. Government will stand informed of the development in opinion among the Muslim society. The collection of speeches published in magazine will find a book form. Society will wake up. Proxy letters to the editor and fake questionnaires will give irritation and comedy. Prophet did not like fake pride. This is sign of Munafiq, hypocrite. A Muslim life being killed or protected is the gift given by writer’s pen. Only constructive news, decision and information will bring dawn. It can be tried to control politicians. Aligning with one party and scolding another party will earn opposition of one crore Hindus. There is no wrong in stressing on the merits and achievements of the alliance that is supported. Because of oft-changing ruling party, writer will do good not to earn eternal enmity with anyone. Short story, poem, bit information, boxed news, editorial, interview, ground work, speech collection should focus on issues that deeply afflict people like inflation, Waqf improprieties, foreign investment, limitless black money and unemployment.

Those Who Enriched Tamilnadu

Muslim Murasu, February 2011

Experts and Auliyas have risen in all periods in the state and have rendered huge service for the benefit of the people. Rulebook for super heroes, great people, is to live for others; to bequeath knowledge, capabilities, experience and good qualities to descendants and followers of the principle. I will be the prophet till last man and Akhirat. Farsightedness of the prophet becomes a reality through experts. As banana plant raises another on its fall, good qualities are imbibed to the forthcoming generations.
Maulana Jameel Saab comes first in the list with a movement-oriented vision. Urdu is his mother tongue. He academically learnt Tamil and was a pioneer in translation, Islamic journalism and in nurturing offspring. It is difficult to get close to him. Earning his friendship is possible only for those with ascetic strength. Dirty people cannot approach him. He is a pristine person. He established relationship with cleanliness and clean people. His combination with poet Thannan Moosa will remind relation between Prophet and his venerated companion Abubakkar. He will succinctly put the strategy and needs, which will be needed for the community for next 30 years, in just 3 minutes as a passing utterance. Vessel should be strong. Else one can’t realize the strength of the Wahi. If it stays in the Qalb, heart, hundred generations can be guided.
Patriarch of Islamic movement, A.K. Abdul Samad Saab, was a pioneer in politics, secularism, oratorical skills, high thoughts and an involvement in language. He straddled across multiple fields like politics, literature, contact with national level leadership and global outlook and earned good respect. His community did not realize his merits. He showed great interest in books. He will not go to dais without preparation. New ideas and dimensions will benefit the seeking audience. He provoked social interest among youngsters. Only meritorious social thinkers will get the privilege to sit in his sofa and discuss for an hour. He will not allow time-pass, useless rumblings. If one gets close and opens his heart, one will be bestowed with historic events and leading fields. He illuminated and achieved success even when surrounded by useless people.
Uthamapalayam P.S.K Muhammad Ibrahim Bakavi Hazrath is a strange exemplar amid Aalim class. He enjoyed friendly relation with many sculptors of society like Abul Hasan Shadali Hazrath and Uthamapalayam S.S Abdul Khader Bakavi Hazrath. He acquired expertise in good time in spirituality, Sangam literature, Quran Tafseer and oratorical and writing skills. Even in 10 days conferences, he will speak matters from his heart without help of any hand note. He had all qualities in him to talk with God. He created many preachers. He was the treasure, gem of the century. He had the knack to identify Auliyas.
The pride, service and achievement of enriching Tamilnadu belong to all three of them.
