Maximum Consumption Is Human Nature

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan speech
Published in Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Man stands between heaven and hell. The decisions he makes each moment takes him either towards heaven or towards hell. This will continue until Israfeel (alai) blows the trumpet.
The incident between Adam (alai) and Iblis has been repeated many times in the Quran. Surah Bani Israil, 17, verse 62 – ‘la ahtanikanna zurriyyatahu illa qaleelan’. I will lead most of human beings astray. History tells us that Shaitan has indeed led most of mankind astray. Prophets have shown us the way for heaven. The Quran has preserved the message. Here comes the demonstration.
Eat whatever you wish, but don’t approach this tree. Surah Baqara, 2, verse 35 – ‘wa kulaa minha ragadan haishu shi’tumaa walaa taqrabaa haazihi shajarata’. Adam and Hawwa kept wondering about the tree for many days. One day they ate its fruit. Consuming everything is human nature. Satisfaction is not found in what is available. There is always an urge for the missing things.
Adam and Hawwa desired for the denied fruit. Man is an intellectual creation. Allah has made him to think. His intellect will grow. This includes his spirituality. Going after the unavailable things is misuse of intellect. Materialistic craving should be avoided. Interest shall be shown on intellectual growth. There is nothing wrong in it. Adam (alai) had all opportunities to grow intellectually. But his interest turned materialistic towards one tree. Even kings won’t get everything. Some will be given while some can never be attained. This is the formula for life. Let us be grateful for what we have received and be patient for things that we did not get.
Surah Ibrahim, 14, verse 7 – ‘lain shakartum la azeedannakum’. More will be given if you show gratitude. Surah Dahr, 76, verse 12 – ‘wa jazaahum bimaa sabaroo jannatan wa hareeran’. Heaven and silk garments are the reward for patience. The reason man is sent to earth is to prepare himself to be a fitting candidate for heaven. Surah Taha, 20, verse 76 – ‘zaalika jazaau man tazakkaa’. Heaven is the reward for who purify themselves. Thinking all the time about things that are out of reach will only create tension and restlessness. This will stop intellectual growth.
Seventy Sahabas were killed in Uhud battle. Prophet (s.a.w.s) negotiated and established Hudaibiya agreement. Harping on the death of seventy companions would not have brought peace or settlement.
Uhud battle resulted in loss. This verse descended in this background. Surah Ala Imran, 3, verse 153 – ‘fa ashaabakum gamman bigammin likailaa tahzanu alaa maa faatakum walaa maa asaabakum’. You were beset will loss after loss so that you don’t grieve over your losses or what befalls you. Re-planning is more important than grieving over the loss of seventy companions. Peace was negotiated with the murderers. This ensured permanent growth.
Man can move ahead in constructive side or move towards destruction. Surah Ahzaab, 33, verse 4 – ‘maa jaalallahu li rajulin min qalbaini’. Allah has not made two hearts for any man. Heart will focus on one thing, either positive or negative. Be happy with what you have. Intellectual growth will get attention.

Bounties From God Are Overlooked

Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Surah Yunus, 10, verse 24 : The likeness of the present life is as the rain which We send down from the skies. By its mingling arises the produce of the earth, which provides food for men and animals. It grows till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out. The people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it. There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before.

Allah has given us knowledge, health, capacity, guidance and wealth. They won’t stay with you forever. They will disappear if penalty is sent on you. Allah has no necessity to give punishment only after death. Allah is able to punish in this world too. Allah’s torment comes down on this world. We are not realizing it. We are in the thought that punishment is reserved for the hereafter. This is fallacy. Many people suffer torment. It happens in front of our eyes.
Today we are listening to Tafseer. BP, sugar levels are normal. No one is fainting. 75 year old person is sitting like a 25 year old youngster. Death can come the next second. Troubles, illnesses don’t come after announcing. They won’t give arrival dates in advance.
‘innama yagshallaha min ibadihil ulama’. Knowledgeable people will fear Allah. Allah has bestowed many fortunes on us. We are oblivious to them. We fail to accept them. They have been given for a time period. After it, they can be stopped or continued. Both are possible. Rahmat (blessing) is raining. Kahhaar (wrath) is also raining. If we do good deeds, we will be lashed with the rain of blessings. If we do bad deeds, we will find ourselves in the pouring of wrath. Prophet (s.a.w.s) feared Allah more than anyone else.
Allah calls us towards heaven. ‘wallahu yadwu ilaa daaris salaam’. Good people have heaven for them. ‘lillazina ahsanu al husna wa zyada’. ‘zyada’ hear refers to seeing Allah, Allah’s Deedar. ‘Al Husna’ means heaven. Heaven is the reward for your good deeds and efforts. Allah’s Deedar is on top of it, a bonus for you. This is reward for Ihsaan. Practitioners of Tasawwuf can teach you Ihsaan. Heaven is the reward for your Amal (deeds). Doing Amal with Ihsaan will earn you Deedar.
‘wallazina kasabu sayyiaati Jazaau sayyiatin bimishlihaa’. Evil is the reward for evil. Punishment will be in proportion to the deed. Darkness will engulf them. There won’t be any protectors. Many layers of darkness will be slapped on their faces.

What Is The Use In Asking More Questions ?

Weekly speech at Tableeghi Markaz, Masjide Amina, Tolichowki, Hyderabad
Published in Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Speaking about and listening to God’s remembrance is beneficial. Prophet has emphasized this. Listening without any purpose will get punishment. If the vessel is kept in proper position while raining, water will collect and fill. Otherwise it will go wasted. Listening with the intent to act upon it will mend our ways.
Shaitan is cunning. First he will stop us from attending good gathering. If he fails there he will make our hearts wander. Person will be physically present here while his mind is in America. It is irrelevant whether you know something or not. Put to practice what you listen. Allah will not waste anyone’s efforts. Religion is open to anyone who is willing to accept. It cannot be imposed on anyone.
Abu Talib was very helpful to Prophet (s.a.w.s). He had done huge favor on Muslims. But he had no yearning for Islam. What will the world think. Prophet insisted him to say Kalima discreetly in his ears. Abu Talib declined.
If a good deed is done for the sake of Allah, people will be happy. Allah will be pleased. Allah will hate if something is done to appease others. People will become enemies. Muawiya (rali) wrote to Ayisha (rali) seeking some advice from her. Ayisha (rali) replied.
You may find yourself in a position where you can judge a matter keeping Allah in mind or to impress people. In such a situation, decide for the sake of Allah. Allah will be pleased. All hearts are in Allah’s Hand. So people will also be convinced. If you decide to please the people, then Allah will hate it and people will turn angry.
Surah Hujuraat, 49, verse 10 – ‘innamal mu’minuna ikwatun’. Truly believers are brothers. Our bonding rests on the common goal to succeed in the hereafter. Our knowledge is incomplete. Knowledge of Wahi can fulfill it. Who is a successful person. He should be content with his success.
Surah Shams, 91, verse 9 – ‘kad aflaha man zakkaahaa’. Truly he succeeds that purifies his soul. Allah takes vows on seven creations; sun, moon, day, night, sky, earth and soul. Vows will be taken as a last resort when the opponent is denying a message relentlessly. Success lies in purification of Nafs (soul). Prophet told that whoever recites this Surah once will earn reward equivalent to donating the whole earth in charity.
Our hearts should be cleansed from Shirk, Kufr, Bidat and sins. There is a serious conspiracy plotted to immerse Muslims in materialism. They are made to indulge in materialistic rage. During the period of British, people were alienated from Ulema (scholars). Ulema were hanged. Copies of Quran were burnt. Discord was planted among scholars.
Every family needs an Aalim (scholar). We see family doctors and family lawyers. When an Aalim instructs on something, further clarity should be sought from the same Aalim. Confusion will not be solved by going to some other Aalim. If we buy a dress from a shop, we should go to the same shop in case we find any issue or need any correction. Complaining to another shopkeeper is of no use.
Purification of soul starts from saying Kalima. This is the first step. Azaan (prayer call) is said in our ears when we are born. Allah’s Glory and  Prophet’s importance are proclaimed. Islam came through Prophet to Ulema. Only loss will come from raising more questions and doubts. The history of Bani Israel should help us.
There was a murder during the period of Moosa (alai). Who was the murderer. Allah sent revelation to Moosa (alai). Slaughter a heifer, take a piece of it and strike the body of the dead man. He will raise and point to his murderer. These were clear instructions. But his people kept asking more questions.
Surah Baqara, 2, verse 68 – ‘yubayyin lanaa maa hiya’. What heifer is it? ‘baqaratun laa faaridun walaa bikhrun’. Heifer should be neither too old nor too young, but of middling age. ‘maa lawnahaa’. What is its color? ‘baqaratun safraau faaqiun lawnuhaa tasurrun naazireen’. A fawn-colored heifer, pure and rich in tone. More information was given but they were not done with their questions. ‘innal baqara tashaabaha alaina’. All heifer appear same to us. ‘laa zalulun tusheerul arda walaa tasqil harsha musallamatun laa shiyata fiha’. A heifer not trained to till the soil or water the fields, sound and without blemish. They kept questioning Moosa (alai). But there was no change in what God had commanded initially. Companions of our Prophet did not use to ask questions. They were completely obedient to the commands. That is the model for us.
We have been blessed with huge bounties by God. Surah Ibrahim, 14, verse 34 – ‘in tauddu ni’matallahi laa tuhsuhaa’. You cannot count the favors of God. We did not go to work when we were young. We did not earn money. We will cry and our wants will be fulfilled. The same is true even today. We cannot fulfill our needs.
Let us understand the value of Imaan (faith). World will function if there is just one Believer alive. A bus will not be run from Hyderabad to Bangalore daily if there is only one passenger. But if that person is Chief Minister, then convoy will be sent along with him. Treatment differs based on the person, his status and importance. Yusuf (alai) gifted huge rewards to the one who helped him. He rewarded the one who testified for him. God will reward His servants according to His Majesty in the hereafter.
A large Degchi (vessel) of Briyani cannot be cooked with a small candle. Our Imaan is weak. It has not stopped usury. It has not reduced sins. Imaan will increase if we do missionary work. Listening and talking about Islam will increase faith. A person came for alms to Ayisha (rali). She gave a grape. The maid looked puzzled. Ayisha (rali) explained. Surah Zilzaal, 99, verse 7 – ‘fa mayya’mal mishqaala zarratin khairay yaraa’. Even small goodness will be taken into account. We should have faith. Even a grape fruit will be rewarded. Atmosphere and temperature are not visible. But we are able to measure it. Allah will accurately weigh our deeds. How can we check our Imaan. Deeds will be stronger if we abide by Quran and Hadith. No one announces to take out bedsheet during winter. It comes out automatically with winter season. Good deeds will come automatically with Imaan. One particle of rice is enough to test the entire bowl. Our deeds will be good if our Salaat (prayer) is good.
Surah Ankabut, 29, verse 45 – ‘innas salaata tanhaa anil fahshaai wal munkar’. Prayer stops from shameful and unjust deeds.

Lack Of Data

Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Statistics about personal life and social life in Tamilnadu Muslim community is mostly incorrect. Government is languishing with lack of adequate employees. It is a waste job to employ a person for a salary of sixty thousand rupees per month.
Employees show interest to work in important income earning departments. Administration and employees don’t show much interest in planning commission or departments where there is no daily bribe. Statistics collected by government employees can be incomplete and laced with lies. No one puts much effort for this.
Privatization was declared in India in 1992. Income and expenses of the society was given in the hands of the citizens. Muslim community did not accept the nuance in this method. The path taken by Honorable Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhiji and Rajiv Gandhiji was completely changed. Nationalization is no more the policy. Opportunity will be given to private, individual company, personalities and talents.
Private news agencies, TV channels, higher educational institutions and commercial enterprises were widely opened. Government is merely an onlooker. Four thousand crore rupees is the white money expenditure for election. Ten thousand crore rupees is the black money expense. People willing to gamble can enter the fray and prove their talent.
Private owners will come together, discuss and deliberate about people’s welfare. The nationalization policy followed from 1947 to 1992 had ended in abject failure. Privatization became India’s policy of administration for lack of any other option. Politicians working as commission agents and middlemen cannot show interest in the welfare of the people.
Income from Arab land made Muslim villages and hamlets prosper for thirty years. Foreign remuneration spurred the growth of religious, educational, literary and media activities. Availability of assets and necessities of the community should be documented. Number of mosques, value of property, reserves in gold, investments in commercial enterprises, number of vehicles, investments in educational sector, number of tenants and house owners, employed and unemployed should be made available at Mohalla level. Independence at Mohalla level, district level and community level alone can eradicate poverty.

M.P Lacking In Hindi

Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Two TV channels, Loksabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV, run full telecast of activities in Parliament. Magazines and private TV channels are successful in completely sidelining this. They grab support by showing picture of chaos, sloganeering and bedlam. Even speeches of Prime Minister, Speaker or President are skipped. They portray India as unlivable, violent land. Patriots should seriously think about this.
Parliament debates happen with the deep knowledge of the members. They revolve around introducing legislation that can determine the fate of 120 crore people. People without Hindi knowledge can sit like a doll. They cannot actively participate. They may end up getting isolated. Election that is up in a few months will select 39 Parliamentarians from Tamilnadu. Hindi is needed to get things done in Delhi.
Hindi has been accepted as the functioning language of Indian government. Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Chattisgarh come under Hindi belt. Two hundred Parliamentarians come from here. In South India, ninety members from Karnataka, Andhra and Kerala have moderate knowledge in Hindi. Eleven lakh students are trained in Hindi in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools. Eleven hundred schools lay foundation for future bureaucrats of Central government.
Tamilnadu has been left alone. Bureaucrats and ministers in Central government will show camaraderie when spoken to in Hindi. Hindi is mother tongue for 18 crore people and second language for 30 crore more. TV channels beam images of M.Ps from Tamilnadu sitting clueless, flummoxed for their lack of Hindi knowledge. Dravidians did serious harm to Tamilnadu in 1965. Hindi can work as connecting language between New Delhi and Chennai. Only those with Hindi knowledge should be sent to Parliament. Otherwise step-motherly treatment will continue. There is no use in blaming.

Thousand Year Obstacle

Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Marriage was considered a deep and enduring bond in previous times. Now this notion is losing currency. Marriages arranged with importance given to money and looks do not survive for long. Sheep are increasingly crossing the fence. It is not wrong for the bride and groom to come face to face once, in a dignified manner, and then marriage being fixed. Obscenity from TV and films are poisoning young hearts. Man should go out and earn. Woman should stay in the house, tend the children and maintain the family. Marriages can be held in an austere manner in mosques during five time prayers and in front of the people assembling there. Fifteen lakh rupees that would have gone wasted can be converted into house, shop, vehicle or asset for the bride. This is accident prone world. If bread-winner passes away in young age, wife needs to have economic backing for the rest of her life. Perspiration, urine, mucus, saliva, feces are natural. Semen, eggs and periods are natural. Venting mechanism is essential. This is the fundamental for survival of life. It cannot be avoided.
Marriage age for girls is eighteen. A girl in today’s obscene world passes through all lessons by the age of thirteen. TV serials are helping. Government shall be impressed upon to bring down the marriage age. Vote bank strength can be mighty. There is no necessity that man should be of higher age and woman should be of lower age. Hearts should match. It won’t ruin if woman is of higher age. Modern treatments, pills and injections are helping in reproductive needs. Same age marriage shall also be encouraged. Polygamy is a natural gift. Mutual trust and unconditional love can deepen the bond. People with economic and physical strength should do polygamy. Offspring should be cared for without any partiality and with equal respect. Property and division should be honest and clear. No secrets should be kept. Marriage in halls with extravagant meals arrangement should be immediately stopped. Marriages in mosques should be the priority. Obsession for gold will aggravate poverty. Focus should be on land, construction, house and self employment. Marriage situation, divorce, polygamy, austerity, late marriage, monthly income, immovable assets are intertwined in life.

One Vote Per Person

Muslim Murasu, March 2013

The responsibility to write Indian Constitution was handed over to a group. Members did not show adequate interest. One person had to bear everything. Indian Constitution was created on the basis of American and England Constitutions. Indian Constitution has the pride of having gone through 117 amendments. Foundation was lost. “First Citizen” terminology clearly proves that all Indians are not equal.
One ballot per person was put to practice in 1950 for the first time. Government builds residential quarters. People are divided in three categories: high income group, middle income group and low income group. Passengers use bus, train and flight. Government employees are divided into A, B, C and D groups. Salary, facilities and power vary. Division between Lower House and Upper House also continues. Reservation divides Indians into upper castes, backward castes, most backward castes, scheduled castes and tribes.
Vote bank politics is scuttling growth in India. Those who pay tax and those who don’t cannot become equal. Democracy has not evolved during the development in the past sixty five years. Economic expert who was not directly elected by people is heading India.
Proper training is needed to use election franchise. Equal opportunity for all is a mirage. It declines divinity. God has created every person with different qualities. Visiting Managing Director’s office and a clerk’s table will make things clear. The status of equality will stare in our eyes. Learned and layman can never come together. Vote bank politics is derailing the conscious stir among Indians. Gender equality, upper caste, marginalized section, officer, staff, ruler, voter, these notions are debatable. Value for ballot differs hugely among 120 crore Indians. Informed voter and ignorant, gullible voter with no understanding are not equal. All evils in India originate from vote bank politics. Fresh discussion is needed.

Dance Of Reservation

Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Reservation is dubbed in Tamilnadu as the pledge to bring social justice. The policy that had its birth in Brahmin, non-Brahmin divide has now transformed into a deathly implement to balkanize Tamilians. 1871 Madras census report founded this and is being followed for the past 150 years. Caste divides are deepening. It is obvious that every government department, officer and employee are enjoying the cool. Some people enjoy reservation concessions as birthright, bequeathed generation after generation. Government appointment creates new upper class mindset. Social justice falls dead every day. Caste based census has not been taken for eighty two years. But some families enjoy the legacy. Bindeshwari Prasad Mandal commission appointed in 1979 categorized 3743 castes as backward. Reservation policy has acquired the might to disintegrate human hearts.
We have been marginalized for five thousand years. Some people still spend time in rhetoric. On an average, a Tamilian takes twenty five years to finish education. He completes training and becomes an expert at 30. Retirement is at 58. Seven and half crore Tamilians should get the opportunity to enjoy government fund, concessions and facilities. Concession based on caste is a clear violation of human right. Two lakh Tamilians apply for twenty five vacancies. Objective is not to serve Tamil society. Unrestrained power, black money and bribes are alluring. Racist struggle between 143 Backward Castes and 41 Most Backward Castes is leading to loss of lives. Twenty percent reservation for MBC implemented in 1989 is causing more damage.
Reservation policy has been doing the evil job of thrusting caste based on birth and protecting it with all care. Unity among Tamilians was fully shattered. 65 years of fooling is enough. Government appointments from now on should be open only for poor and first generation graduates. Let us leave way with benevolence and humanity.

Clarity On Charity, Donation and Loan

Maulana Muhammad Ilyas (rah) Malfuzat compiled by Maulana Muhammad Manzoor Nuhmani (rah)
Published in Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Having love for a Believer is a treasure for the hereafter. Muslim should love another Muslim. I have faith in Muslim community. Their love for me is giving me hope.
No one can reach salvation only with their deeds. God’s mercy is essential. ‘laa yadkulul jannata ahadun bi amalihi’. This applies to prophets as well. Maulana Ilyas cried after saying this Hadith. All around him cried.
Those born in Muslim houses are Muslims. They are Muslims even if they are lacking ninety nine percent in faith. He is not a real Muslim, but a ritualistic Muslim. Real Muslim is one who completely surrenders to Allah and spends all his time in it.
I am concerned about two things. Zikr (Remembrance) is not up to the mark in our Jamaat. Zakat (alms) is not reaching the right hands. I have noted down forty persons. They are not greedy. They have much interest in Tableeg (missionary). They deserve to receive Zakat. But Zakat has not reached them. Zakat is not being disbursed after finding right candidates. People rushing forward are given. Zakat is also given to those coming for donations and funds.
Ilm (knowledge) will increase Amal (deeds). Amal will increase Zikr. This is the right approach. Knowledge that doesn’t lead to action is darkness. Actions that don’t improve remembrance of God cannot be relied upon. Zikr without Ilm is Fitna (confusion).
People should be taught about Hadiya (gifts), Sadqa (charity) and loans from examples from the lives of Sahabas. Sahabas used to do manual labor and give Sadqa out of it. It is wrong to think that only affluent should give charity. Sahabas gave importance to Sadqa. Hadiya is even loftier. If a borrower is unable to repay the debt, he shall be given more time. Every extended day will fetch us rewards for Sadqa.
Hasan Basri (rah) feared Nifaq (hypocrisy) in him. Youngsters should have more fear of Allah and old people shall have more hope in Allah.

Four Steps To Attain Wisdom

Darse Quran by Maulana Muhammad Mustafa Shareef Naqshbandhi
Published in Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Shah Waliullah explains that verses in the Quran can be divided in five categories. One of them are verses relating to Prophets, their situations and miracles. ‘Al Fauzul Kabir’ is an important book written by Shah Waliullah. Egyptians translated it from Persian to Arabic. It is fondly read by both Arabs and non-Arabs.
More than thousand verses are related to the beloved people of Allah. The history of the companions of cave detailed in Surah Kahf is an example. Surah Yusuf is foremost in this. It corrects our ideology and clarifies us about life. This Surah contains 111 verses. There is no mention about prayer, fasting or Haj. There is no mention of dos and don'ts. Yet Allah calls this a beautiful history. Asraar, mystical examples, are given.
Full Quran descended on Prophet (s.a.w.s). The trials that Prophet Yusuf (alai) went through are explained to console our Prophet. The struggles that one may encounter and the opportunities and solutions are explained. This Surah revolves around the personality of Yusuf (alai). He is a successful person. We cannot succeed without knowing a successful person.
We will not forsake our virtue if we get spiritual transformation. We should not trade our virtue or chastity for any price. Every prophet was given miracles. Yusuf (alai) was extremely beautiful. This was his Mojiza. Anyone will get attracted to him. Yusuf (alai)’s mother had passed away. So Yakoob (alai) was very affectionate to Yusuf (alai). Yusuf and Binyamin are children to Yakoob (alai) through one of his wives. He had eleven sons through another wife. This created jealousy. Dreams of prophets will come true. Dream is one fortieth of Nubuwat. Prophet (s.a.w.s) also used to get dreams before he was handed the mission. His dreams used to come true exactly as seen.
Yusuf (alai) saw a dream. Eleven stars, sun and moon prostrated to him. Yakoob (alai) understood that Yusuf (alai ) will attain power and authority. Dreams should not be told to everyone. They can be shared with scholars or spiritual guides.
Whatever you keep thinking during the daytime will come as dreams in night. Have good thoughts during daytime. You will get pleasant dreams. Heart should always remember Allah even when we are in the thick of worldly affairs. Surah Ahzaab, 33, verse 41 – ‘uzkhurullaha zikhran khasheera’. Remember Allah more.
My Hazrat used to say that remembering Allah once in heart is better than uttering His name seventy times orally. Some Muslims say Masha Allah, Insha Allah often to hide their hypocrisy. There is no danger of Riyaah (ostentation) when you remember in heart.
Bed should be clean. Go to sleep after ablution. Do Tauba before sleeping. There are very few experts who can interpret dreams taking into account the time of dream and other details.
It took forty years for Yusuf (alai) to see his dream come true. In between, he was imprisoned, thrown in a well, sold in a market. We should not show haste to see our dream come true. Youth and beauty were tested.
There will be questions about how we spend our youthful days. A person may not be able to do good deeds in his old age. The deeds that he used to do in his young age will be gifted to him. Don’t be casual that we can do good deeds in the old age. Death can come between one Salaam and the other.
Allah will show oncoming events to His beloved servants. This is called Ilhaam. Surah Shams, 91, verse 8 – ‘fa alhamahaa fujoorahaa wa taqwaahaa’. He taught it goodness and wrong. There are steps to attain Ilhaam. If a person avoids sitting in wasteful places and involving in cheap and futile talks and deeds, he will be given ‘Nafse Lawwaamaa’. This will create happiness while doing a good deed and remorse while committing a mistake. This is sign of Imaan. If conscience is dead, a person won’t feel any remorse even after committing grave sins. Nafse Mulhima will be given after crossing second stage. Now oncoming events will be informed upfront.
Some dreams may not materialize as expected. Otherwise one may become arrogant. Some failures can occur on this account. Allah will give knowledge to Muttaqeen (pious ones). Surah Baqarah, 2, verse 282 – ‘wattaqullaha wayuallimukumullahu’. Fear Allah, He teaches you. Allah will send knowledge direct to the hearts. Knowledge will come if we follow four approaches
1.    Solitude
2.    Silence
3.    Eating less
4.    Praying in the nights
My Hazrat often said to speak less and listen more.
The history of Yusuf (alai) is a lesson to youngsters. Zulaika was daughter of the king. She insisted, but Yusuf did not comply to her wish. He was punished and sent to prison.
Don’t approach adultery. Allah hates it. Don’t even go near it. Do not sit with a woman in seclusion. Don’t create chances for adultery. Allah’s grace will be lifted when there is adultery. It will bring disgrace in this world and the next. Supplications of chaste youngsters will be answered and their prayers will be accepted. They will get shadow on the Judgment Day. Allah will send Noor to the hearts if you protect your gaze.
Surah Noor, 24, verse 30 – ‘qul lil moomineena yaguddu min absaarihim wa  yahfazoo furoojahum’. They should lower their gaze and guard their modesty. Nowadays, there is more obscenity on streets. It increases chances for goodness as well. Avoiding evil will increase goodness. Staying away from bad deed is in itself a good deed. My Hazrat used to say that beard is the veil for men.
Listening to the history of prophets is an Ibadat. Learning the history of Prophet Yusuf is an Ibadat. Listening history of Auliyas is Kaffaaraa (expiation). Remembering death is Sadqa (alms). ‘Guldaste Tareeqat’ is a book written by my Hazrat. It gives history of Prophet Yusuf.
Don’t discuss your dreams with unqualified persons. Bird will leave the cage. You will lose the benefit. Don’t publicize your internal growth. The benefit that accrues gradually and slowly will be strong and enduring.

Surah Yusuf. First verse. ‘alif laam raa’. These are Huruf Muqatta'at. This is a secret between Allah and His Prophet (s.a.w.s). Once Jibreel (alai) brought verses of Surah Maryam. ‘kaaf haa yaa ain saad’. Prophet said, “I know this”. It is wrong to say only Allah knows this. Jibreel (alai) is not the authority. Prophet is the authority.
Surah Khawshar, 108 – ‘innaa a’tainakal khawshar’. ‘We have given you’. This is a small Surah. Reading it will make our Aqeedah (creed) clear. Observe the words chosen by Allah. We have given you. Complete authority is given. Hasan and Husain (rali) were named as leaders in heaven for youngsters. Fatima (rali) was declared as leader for women in heaven. Prophet made these announcements out of his authority. Allah is the creator of the heaven. Prophet is given authority.
We say ‘Quran’ very casually. Allah calls it with respect. ‘Quranul majeed’, ‘Quranul Kareem’. ‘tilka aayaatul kitaabul mubeen’. Allah describes the qualities of the Noble Quran. Verse continues. ‘inna anzalnahu quranan arabiyan’. ‘We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran’. Prophet has said: “Arabic is my language, Quran’s language and the language of heaven. Have love for Arabic”.
We should love Prophet’s language if we have love for him. We should love all aspects of the beloved. Supplications can be asked during Sajda in Nafil prayers. But it should be in Arabic. Using any other language will dismiss the Namaz. We can often hear Allah’s Name and Praise when we speak with Arabs. Learn Arabic.
‘Nahnu naqussu alaika ahsanal qasasi bimaa awhainaa ilaika haazal quran’. This is the best history revealed so far. This is the history of Prophet Yusuf, the history of rule in Egypt. This is the most beautiful history. Allah explains it.

'Yusalluna Alannabiyyi' Explanation

Maulana Khwaja Shareef speech, Shaikhul Hadith, Jamia Nizamia
Published in Muslim Murasu, March 2013

Prophet once found his companions talking about earlier Prophets in Masjide Nabawi. He expressed happiness and said, “Moosa is Kaleemullah. Ibrahim is Kaleelullah. Dawud is Kalifatullah. Isa is Roohullah. I am Habibullah”. This has two meanings. I love Allah and Allah loves me.
‘man ahabba shaiyan akshara zikrahu’. Whoever likes something will remember it more. Allah is very fond of Prophet. He establishes this in the entire world. Rasoolullah’s remembrance is pervasive, continual and eternal. This is God’s Attribute. He honors His beloved. This happens day and night without any break.
Surah Ahzaab, 33, verse 56 – ‘innallaha wa malaikatahu yusalluna alannabiyyi’. Allah and angels send Salaat on Prophet. All commentators confirm that ‘Salaat’ means to proclaim Prophet’s greatness. Inventing new meaning is not possible. Every atom in sky and earth takes part in this. Reason is that he is Allah’s Habeeb. He is Habeeb for everyone.
Surah Anbiya, 21, verse 107 – ‘wa maa arsalnaaka illa rahmatan lil aalameen’. He is mercy for the entire universe. Nothing can exist without mercy. Prophet is manifestation of God’s Mercy. Quran and Hadith say Prophet’s greatness in excess. ‘Yusalluna’ means God and angels, alike, say this continuously. The job that an angel is assigned to will not stop him from saying Salaat. Israel (alai) will take soul while also saying Salaat. One job will not stop the other. Ruhul Maani, a popular Tafseer, explains this. Saying Salaat is one of Allah’s Attributes. Believers of God have been obligated to do this. Prophet is devoid of any shortcoming. Tasleema. This is the additional obligation. Prophet’s glory is accepted even by the deniers of truth. Christians and Jews have written in their books. Believers are commanded to accept that Prophet has no weakness. Allah has no weakness. Prophet has no weakness. But he is not God. Allah has made him without any defect.
