When addressed by the ignorant ones, servants of God will say Salaam and avoid them. Surah Furqan, 25, verse 63. ‘wa iza katabuhumul jahiluna qalu salaama’.
Miscreants creating mischief against Islam shall be ignored. We have to use television, documentary, articles, speeches to send across right message. Agitations are not needed. It will waste our energy and time. It will bring bad reputation for Islam. It will bring huge loss.
Many were killed unjustly in Assam riot. Government and legal institutions should feel ashamed. But Muslims should not become outraged and cause more damage. Muslims should always bear just mentality. ‘laa taziru waaziratun vizra ukhra’. One person should not be punished for the mistake of another. Neutrality should not be lost while protesting.
Injustice has been meted out to Muslims. But it won’t justify burning even a single bus. It is public property. Burning it is a sin. It will create bad impression about Muslim community. We should be mindful whether our agitations are for God or for our emotional outburst. Our main objective is to introduce God’s message to entire humanity. A Jewish fighter spit on Ali (rali)’s face. Ali (rali) forgave him. Our Nafs, emotions, should not have any part even if the main cause is for God. Ali (rali) has set a very good example. We shall emulate it till Qiyamat.
We should have anger. But it should be against evil forces. Jealousy is good if it is to acquire knowledge. Hatred can be allowed only against basal urges. If someone hates Islam on account of your actions, you will be held responsible. This is a sin and will be certainly punished. Don’t trouble fellow citizens. ‘laa tulku bi aideekum ila tahlukati’. (2 – 195). Don’t lead yourselves into destruction.
Today we have to decide on our principle. This is not a Masaail issue. We have no right to besmirch Islam. We should learn tolerance. We shouldn’t make confrontation our nature. We are having some ideological differences due to circumstances. But Islam’s intention is welfare for everyone. One NGO person came to me. There was a severe earthquake on that day in Haiti. This Muslim person was happy about it and expressed his optimism that next disaster will be for America. His idea is that Allah is going via Haiti to America; a pathetic thought. He was thinking in the lines of monsoon movement. I inquired him about why he wishes for calamity in America. He said that America is against development in Muslim nations, it is crippling democracies in some nations and thrusting war on some other nations. He was talking like Allah has given administration of the world in America’s hands. I asked him about how many people in America are his enemies. There may be some Pentagon officers, bureaucrats, and few senators. Earthquake will be a disaster for everyone. Many innocents will die. It won’t exclude anyone. Americans have good life in this world and their life in the Hereafter looks painful. Your wish is that they should have a horrible life in this world too. Our wish is that Americans should make their Hereafter also pleasant. This is our prayer. This is Islamic approach. Aggressive people plan for horrible life in both the worlds. A Muslim should pray for good life in both the worlds. Those who have achieved pleasant life here should earn good life in the Hereafter also. Those who have worked for their Hereafter should get a good life here too. Modern Jihadis seek to destroy both. Some people act like they can rule the world with the help of some video footage; totally illogical scheme.
Muslim community today is weak like Sahabas Yasir and Sumaiya (rali). America is in strong position. This is the reality. Sahabas were chained and flogged cruelly. Prophet (sal) passed by them. He said, “Yasir! Be patient. Your place is in heaven”. Prophet did not seek Umar (rali)’s help. He did not provoke anyone. He could have sent Umar or Ali (rali) to save Yasir. Forty Sahabas were with Prophet. He did not use hands to stop. He did not use force at that time. Prophet was a very strong person himself. He was a war veteran. In the thick of the battles, Sahabas used to seek his protection and come behind him. Prophet used to lead from the front. Faith gives strength and courage. But still he did not use his hands to stop evil.
Muslim should not be bit twice in the same burrow. Muslims today have been bitten thousand times by the same snake. Agitations are only bringing losses. Innocents are put in jails. They spend the rest of the life in prison. Evil should be stopped with hand. But prerequisite is that one who stops should not get destroyed. Films against Islam keep increasing. Evil is not subsiding. Current approach of Muslims is fostering evil forces further. Earlier Muslims used to be targeted. Now they have gone one step further and directly targeting Islam. Islam is being insulted. No one comes forward to bail out prisoners.
Let us now fight against evil with tongue and heart. Let us use internet, letter communication, articles, and pleas and clarify our views. A senator in America is openly professing to dash Mecca and Medina. Another Congressman lifts Quran and says terrorism won’t stop as long as this book exists.
Muslims are weak politically and economically. Let us not cause more insult to Islam.

Bad Tableegh is Happening
Let us chart out our course of action on our own. Let us not allow BBC, CNN or Reuters to maneuver us. What else can we expect from a Jew. Extreme elements have severely impacted Islam’s reputation. If our full Ummat comes together to set the image right, it will take hundred years. Muslims were weak even between first and second world wars. But Islam was not targeted. Islam was seen with respect. Jihadis today don’t have any issue in hand. So they are blowing even non-issues out of proportion. This film was made many days before. But now chaos is needed. Western media captures and records violent aggressions by Jihadis. They are making a propaganda out of it. Muslims are silent. Islam is presented as a violent religion. There are more than five thousand abusive words in Salman Rushdie’s book. It has adverse, abusive remarks on venerable figures of Hindu society Ram and Krishna and even on Margaret Thatcher. Shivsena or Nagpur Hindutva elements did not take this seriously. Muslims were provoked.
Some verses in Surah Najm were not sent by God. Shaitan gave those verses. This is the content of the book. This makes entire Quran dubious. Satanic Verses echoed this. But the author was given Booker Prize and gifted with rewards. Protagonist in the novel is caught in a plane crash. Rest of the story continues as part dream and part hallucination. Hundreds of Muslims were killed in the chaos that ensued. Let us use our abilities for elevation and development. Let us express our opposition to US President and ministers. But let us not politicize this. Once the protests are over, we feel relieved and relax in our homes. Good Tableegh is not happening. Bad Tableegh is happening. We are sending wrong message. Osama Bin Laden is presented as Islamic revolutionary. Every child is elaborately preached about Bin Laden. Islam is cast as reflection of Bin Laden. They are shown as two sides of the same coin. Our protests should be within Islamic limits and conditions. Condemnations should strictly adhere to Islamic laws. Islam’s glory should not be allowed to wane.

Salman Rushdie wrote a book ‘Midnight children’ that showed Nehru-Gandhi family in poor light. But Congress party maintained silence. Orientalists don’t do deep researches these days. They are converting books to films. Sometimes same material takes cartoon form. Serious research and hard work that were hallmark of previous century is not visible anymore. We have already answered all previous allegations. There is no need for new answers. Research work stopped after second world war. Satanic Verses was banned in India. But even after that it was sold brazenly. We don’t have follow-up mechanism. There are many books in India about 33 crore Gods. It is against our core principle. Muslims ignore it. Let us ignore these things. We shouldn’t give any importance. We can’t stop their publishing. There is a very good book ‘Nabiur Rahman’ written by Dr. Yakub Nisar. This book has been translated in twenty five languages. It has been my wish for the past two years to bring this book in Urdu and Telugu. This is a constructive idea. This book has answers for all allegations. Let us distribute good book to people. Let us keep Prophet’s esteem high through our tongue and heart.
